Show current date on taskbar using Screen Calendar tray icon

If your Windows taskbar clock doesn't show current date, you may find it useful to show current date on Screen Calendar tray icon. This option is available in Main settings tab ('Show current date on icon').

As you probably know, tray icons can be shown or hidden. If you want to always see Screen Calendar icon with current date near your clock, you must set to show icon and notification. To do that, right-click taskbar, then click 'Customize notification icons':

Control Panel will open. Find Screen Calendar icon in the list and set 'Show icon and notifications':

Screen Calendar icon is now shown in the system tray. Drag and drop the icon to change its place on the taskbar. Now enable 'Show current date on icon' option (see Screen Calendar Options > Main) and you'll have current date shown near your clock.

On the contrary, if you want Screen Calendar icon to be hidden, select 'Only show notifications' or 'Hide icon and notifications' in Control Panel. In this case, you can disable showing date on icon as the icon will be visible only when notification area is expanded:
